Kanban Control With Scheduling Boards
A popular Kanban approach adopted by numerous companies is utilisation of the Eurocharts - Weigang Scheduling Board System. In this staggered display system, the Kanban cards are inserted in flexible self clipping tracks.
Since the Kanban scheduling board comprises individual scheduling board elements, the entire board can be extended in both height and width depending on space available and the requirements of the system.

Kanban Control With Pocket Systems
The picture shows an example of a Kanban control system that is based on the traffic light principle; which is another popular Kanban control method adopted by businesses. The modular cascading document pocket system comprises of a sturdy control board, with attached expandable powder coated cascading metal pockets in green, yellow and red. Kanban cards are first sorted in the green pockets (which are arranged to illustrate a predetermined Kanban card threshold). When the first Kanban card reaches the yellow zone, this indicates production can be started to replenish the buffer inventory. A card entering the red zone, indicates production must be started immediately otherwise product supply may be deficient.
