Follow these 5 simple steps using the components and accessories listed below to custom build your own magnetic planning display board system


STEP 1 INDEX: Determine the number and type of 'index' items to be listed vertically onto the index panel (e.g. machines, people, projects).
SCALE: Select the time period to be scheduled (e.g. 1 year) and how it requires subdividing (e.g. days, weeks, months).

STEP 2 INDEX: Select the number of planning lines for each index item. Total number of index items determines the planning panel depth. Allow for spacing.
SCALE: Ref (MP) modular planning panels are divided horizontally into 20mm x 10mm width gridded columns. Determine the number of columns needed for the smallest subdivision (e.g. day, week) and calculate the total number of panels.

EXAMPLE: 10mm = 1 day, 1 panel = 20 days, 13 panels = 52 weeks (5 day week basis). Panels link together and 'rotate'.

STEP 3 System length (nos of panels) determines the wall rail sets requirment. Usually wall mounted but one set of rails (only) may be fixed to the mobile stand.

STEP 4 Activities and key events are scheduled opposite each index item using the colour coded, magnetic textplates or rod signals. Their position and length, expressed against the datestrip, shows the activity start and finish dates. Changes to plan? Simply slide the textplate along the planning line or relocate to another position.

STEP 5 Estimate the quantity, colours and size of magnetic text plates or rod signals. Finally select the accessories.
